Technical Approvals (ATG) are issued by the Belgian Union for Technical Approval in Construction NPO (UBAtc NPO).

The ATG is a favourable assessment of one specific construction product from one manufacturer for a specific application. A Technical Approval provides a technical opinion, including a description and the technical characteristics. Technical Approvals are mainly issued for systems, innovative products and products consisting of multiple components.

As a rule, an ATG is always linked to certification, which means that a certification body appointed by the UBAtc monitors the conformity of the production with the published approval.
