The Construction Products Regulation obliges manufacturers to draw up a declaration of performance when marketing construction products and to apply the CE mark on their products. Depending on the applicable AVCP system, manufacturers must call upon a Notified Body.

For AVCP systems 1, 1+ en 2+ this is a certification body. BUCP members from Group 1 are active in these systems as Notified Bodies.

For AVCP system 3 this is a laboratory. This type of Notified Body may also become a member of BUCP in Group 3.

All Belgian Notified Bodies should participate in the activities of the BUCP Technical Committee Notified Bodies.
